25 Days Of Christmas Movies

Now that Christmas is getting a little closer I’ve been thinking about all of my favorite Christmas movies and which ones I want to watch first. I decided to make a 25 days of Christmas movies list so we can all watch them together and get through them all.

December 1st – Nightmare Before Christmas

Starting off this list of 25 days of Christmas movies with a great one, the Nightmare Before Christmas. I love this movie because you can watch it at both Halloween and Christmas. The way this movie is made is just amazing. I feel like if you made this cartoon look any different it wouldn’t be right. This movie follows Jack Skellington who stumbles upon Christmastown and kidnaps Santa to take it over. You can find this movie here.

December 2nd – Home Alone

Next up is such a classic! Home alone is one of the first Christmas movies I want to watch every year. It follows a young boy named Kevin who was accidentally left Home Alone while his big family goes to Paris for Christmas and isn’t able to get back home because there aren’t any flights available. But when some thieves are planning on robbing his home Kevin decides to protect his families home from them. It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve seen this movie, I’m still always laughing. December 3rd – Home Alone 2: Lost In New York

Next is the second movie in the Home Alone series called Lost In New York. I went to New York in the winter and it quickly became one of my favorite places in the world. In this movie, Kevin doesn’t get forgotten but he does accidentally get on the wrong plane that takes him to New York instead of Florida. However, the same criminals from the first movie happen to run into Kevin on the streets of New York and want their revenge. You can find this movie here.

December 4th – Home Alone 3

A lot of people only watch the first 2 movies in the Home Alone series but I think the third is actually good as well. I think a reason a lot of people don’t want to is because it has different characters. The movie starts with criminals trying to get trying to get a stolen computer chip through airport security by putting it in a remote control car. Bu then an elderly women accidentally takes it instead of her own bag. When she gets home and realizes her mistake she gives the car to a kid in her neighborhood named Alex who is home alone sick from school. Just like Kevin was, Alex is ready to fight off the criminals from getting what they want. You can find this movie here.

December 5th – Deck The Halls

Next up on this list of 25 days of Christmas movies movies is Deck the Halls. This is another funny movie. It feature one family who’s father named Steve is very serious about Christmas. But then another family moves in across the street and the father named Danny wants his house to be seen from space, which causes Steve and Danny to butt heads a little. December 6th – A Christmas Prince

The movie a Christmas Prince is another amazing Netflix Original movie. An aspiring writer named Amber from New York is sent abroad to get the inside scoop on a prince set to be king. But when she’s given an opportunity to pretend to be a tutor or go home empty handed she takes the chance to get a career starting story.

December 7th – A Christmas Prince 2: The Royal Wedding

The second movie in the series has Amber and king Richard set to get married. However, Amber starts to doubt if she’s fit to be a queen or not. Such a great sequel to the first movie.

December 8th – A Christmas Prince 3: A Royal Baby

A Christmas Prince: A Royal Baby will be released on Netflix on December 5th so I of course haven’t been able to watch it yet as I’m writing this. But by the title I’m sure we can take a guess that Amber and Richard will be having a baby. As the first two movies were so good I think we can expect that this third one will be just as good.

December 9th – Jack Frost

The movie Jack Frost features a character by that name who is a struggling musician who doesn’t have a great relationship with his wife or son Charlie. On Christmas day (the one year anniversary of his fathers death) Charlie plays a tune on his fathers harmonica.  Jack Frost is magically brought back to life as a snowman given a second chance to spend time with his son. December 10th – Arthur Christmas

Arthur Christmas is a movie I only discovered a few years ago as it’s still quite new but I love it so much. It follows a character named Arthur who’s dad is Santa Claus. Arthur spends most of his time in the letter room. But when he discovers that a present has been left behind and a child won’t get a Christmas gift from Santa he takes off in an old sled to get the child their gift with the help of his grandsanta and an elf. December 11th – The Santa Clause

Next up is the Santa Clause movies. And yes there should be an “e” at the end of Clause as it’s a play on the word clause meaning a part contract. This movie follows Scott and his son as he turns into Santa Claus. Of course this is a big change in Scott’s life and something that’s hard to believe is even happening. December 12th – The Santa Clause 2

The second Santa Clause movie has to do with another clause of course. This one is the Mrs Clause. This clause means that if Santa can’t find a wife before Christmas he can’t be Santa anymore. It ends up being a stressful time because how are you supposed to find the person you want to be with forever in a month? You can find this movie here.

December 13th – The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause

The third movie is of course another clause. This one is called the Escape Clause. Jealous Jack Frost learns that he can take over being Santa Claus and have his face everywhere instead of no one knowing who he is. It’s a great end to the trilogy with a funny and eventful movie. December 14th – Love Actually

Love Actually is a movie that follows 10 different stories starting 5 weeks before Christmas. And of course this movie surrounds love around Christmas time. You can find this movie here.

December 15th – Santa Baby

Santa Baby follows a girl named Mary who happens to be the daughter of Santa Claus. When Santa falls ill she returns to the North Pole to help out. But things don’t go the way she planned when she implements her business tactics from her regular life away from the North Pole. You can find this movie here.

December 16th – Santa Baby 2: Christmas Maybe

In the sequel to Santa Baby, Mary’s father decides it’s time for her to take over the family business. But Mary is unsure about leaving her successful business life back in New York. You can find this movie here.

December 17th – The Polar Express

The Polar Express follows the story of a young boy you takes a crazy train ride to the north pole. This is an absolute great movie and is actually based on the book I used to read as a child. You can find this movie here.

December 18th – Frosty The Snowman

The next on this list of 25 days of Christmas movies is Frosty the snowman. This movies follows Frosty the Snowman. A snowman made by children and brought to life by a magical hat that was placed on his head. But when the magician realizes his hat is magical he wants it back. And when the weather starts to warm up Frosty knows he needs to get somewhere cooler like the North Pole. You can find this movie here.

December 19th – The Legend Of Frosty The Snowman

Frosty has come back to a town that is full of rules and no magic at all. He starts to get the children to have fun again and learn about the magic. This is a great sequel to the first movie and it’s great how it ties into the first movie as well. You can find this movie here.

December 20th – The Holiday

The Holiday follows 2 girls who’ve been unlucky in their love life. One lives in California and the other lives in England. They decide to switch lives for a while for a restart. But then they end up meeting some guys along the way. This is such a feel good romantic comedy and of course the fact that it’s a Christmas movie makes it so much better. December 21st – Elf

This movie is the story of Buddy the elf. Buddy is actually human but when he was a baby at the orphanage he crawled into Santa’s sack and ended up in the North Pole and an elf there decided to raise him. Once buddy is older and working in the workshop, he doesn’t do as well as the other elves. He accidentally finds out that he’s actually human and sets of to New York to find his dad. December 22nd – Four Christmases

Four Christmases is a movie I think a lot of us can relate to. It follows a couple who decided to have a luxury vacation instead of spending it with their families. But when things don’t go as planned they have to go to 4 Christmases with their crazy families. You can find this movie here.

December 23rd – Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

The movie Santa Claus Is Coming To Town is a stop motion movie that was released in 1970. It’s another version of how Santa Claus started. In this movie it started when a family of toy makers found a baby and raised it themselves. When the boy grows older he decides to bring all the toys to children in a town too far for this family to go on their own. However, this boy runs into obstacles along the way. December 24th – The Grinch

I think the Grinch will always be one of my all time favorite movies. It’s so funny and has such a great story. The Grinch who hates Christmas and is trying to ruin it for Whoville. A place full of Who’s that love Christmas more than anything else. You can find this movie here.

December 25th – Christmas With The Kranks

And we end our Christmas movies list with Christmas With The Kranks. In this movie the Kranks decided to save money by skipping Christmas and going on a holiday while their daughter is away. This makes the rest of the neighbors and the town very mad at the Kranks. You can find this movie here.
