Author
Melissa Ferguson is a bestselling author currently living in Tennessee with her husband and children in their beautiful farmhouse. She loves to write romantic comedies with humor and heart and to turn her friends and acquaintances into characters in her books.
Plot
Bryony Page attends a writers conference dreaming to sell her manuscript with hopes of raising awareness for The Bridge, her grandmother’s organization where she teaches ESL that’s having financial troubles. Unfortunately, no agents want to work with Bryony on her manuscript. However, one agent, Jack Sterling, does offer Bryony the opportunity to ghost write for popular author Amelia Benedict in exchange for being her agent.
What no one expected was for Bryony’s writing to make Amelia Benedict an even more popular and beloved author. Now the agency can’t afford to let her go. And her agent Jack doesn’t want to let her go either for his own personal reasons.
My Review
The Perfect Rom-Com was a book I received for free on NetGalley as an audio book and I loved it. I couldn’t get enough of the story and listened to it constantly to finish it in just a few days. I loved how connected I felt to Bryony and how protective I felt of her. Melissa also did a great job of making me want to jump through my screen to slap Amelia for Bryony. I would give this book 5/5 stars and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves romance books without any spice.
And that’s the end of my The Perfect Rom-Com by Melissa Ferguson book review. If you read this book be sure to let me know in the comments if you liked it as much as I did.
