Plot

Sybil Rain can’t wait to escape to an all expenses pain vacation to Hawaii. Well, she paid for it last year on what was supposed to be her honeymoon with now ex-fiancé Jamie. Since the vouchers are about to expire, now is a great time to use them up. Sybil is expecting the vacation she desperately needs. But instead, she finds out Jamie thought now would be a great time to use his almost expired vouchers as well, landing him at the same resort, at the same time.

Desperate to save face when Sybil sees Jamie with a beautiful ‘coworker’ Sybil blurts out that she’s vacationing with her boyfriend. This harmless lie turns into an absolute fiasco when ex-fiancé number two, Sebastian, shows up at the resort and agrees to play along as Sybil’s boyfriend bringing out unexpected jealousy in Jamie.

Through dealing with all of this, Sybil realizes she still needs to deal with the broken promises of these two ex-fiancé‘s and her first ex-fiancé Liam, who she never talks about. Sybil needs to deal with her past engagements if she ever wants to be engaged again one day and make that one stick.

My Review

This was the first book I read by Hannah Brown and I have to say, I loved it! It was nice to see Sybil in the present as well as going back through her previous engagements from start to finish. It was nice to see where the love stories started and what ended them It also really painted a picture how different each engagement was and how they shaped her into who she currently is. The fact that it takes place at a resort in Hawaii so she can’t escape Jamie is so much fun. I love a forced proximity trope. My only problem was differentiating Sybil’s friends. I’ll be honest, I still don’t know the different between Emma and Willow. This could partly be because I listened to the book on audio so I couldn’t re-read to figure out who was who. Overall I loved this book and give it 5/5 stars.

And that’s the end of my The Four Engagement Rings Of Sybil Rain by Hannah Brown book review. If you read this book let me know in the comments and if you loved it as much as I did.
