Author
Meghan Quinn is a New York Times, #1 Amazon, and USA Today best selling author. She’s also a wife, an adoptive mother and a huge peanut butter lover. Meghan is known for her romantic comedies and contemporary romances that bring the heat and the humour. She’s the queen of slipping in the humour when you’re not expecting it.
Plot
Graydon St. John doesn’t do drama or public appearances. The grumpy defensive end for the San Francisco Foghorns would much prefer silence, solitude and doing everything he can to avoid any headlines. But when the PR department forces him into a media stunt at the zoo, he’s face to face with annoying birds, fans shoving cameras in his face, and a zoo keeper who hates his guts immediately.
Maple Baker’s life revolves around her Flamingos. They’re loud, pink, and messy, but they’re hers. The last thing she needs is a grumpy football player who doesn’t care about them, stomping around with his horrible attitude and somehow even bigger ego. Unfortunately for both of them, they’re paired together for the zoo’s outreach program and the cameras are on them from the start.
The banter is sharp. The tension is electric. The more they pretend to be flirtacious for the press, the more it starts to feel dangerously real. But with family secrets, viral fame, and a PR romance that turns real, it threatens everything Maple has ever worked for. Now, Graydon needs to decide if he fights for love or if lets it go to protect Maple.
My Review
When I read the synopsis of Just For The Cameras I was so excited. I just started reading Meghan Quinn books and I absolutely love her writing and how great she is with humour. I’ve only read one football romance before so I was intrigued to start this one and it didn’t disappoint. Maple is such a sweet character to root for. Her love of flamingo’s is so random for an FMC and I love that. It’s nice to read about different types of characters. Graydon was such a funny grumpy character. One of my favourite parts was his interactions with Bennett and specifically OC. Their relationship was so funny and I really hope the rest of the series includes Bennett and OC’s stories. Graydon and Maple were so easy to root for and I loved their romance. I rate this book 5/5 stars and recommend it to anyone who likes grumpy/sunshine, fake dating, and opposites attract romances.
And that’s the end of my Just For The Cameras by Meghan Quinn book review. If you read this book let me know in the comments and if you loved it as much as I did. If you’re looking for other books to read check out these reviews: Lights Out, Without A Clue, and The Windy City Series.
