Author
B.K. Borison is an author living out of Baltimore her husband and two children. She’s an amazing author mostly known for First Time Caller and the Lovelight Farms book series. The first book is of course Lovelight Farms, second book is In the Weeds, the third is Mixed Signals, and the final book is Business Casual. I’ve read all four and they were all amazing. Easily some of my all time favorite book series. I love B.K. Borision’s writing style and her ability to bring characters and relationships to life. She’s the type of author that I’ll be reading everything she releases.
Plot
Jackson Clark and Delilah Stewart have had their fair share of run-ins over the years, often ending in disaster. Jackson thrives on routine and organization from the safety of his radio booth, while Delilah is spontaneous and loves adventure. When they’re partnered together to cover a snow storm they need to learn how to work together despite their differences.
Delilah is eager to be taken seriously as a journalist and therefor offer Jackson a deal. If he can help her ace this assignment, she’ll help him find his fun side and get comfortable talking on camera. With undiscovered chemistry and their unwanted partnership turnung into a surpisingly easy friendship, how will this play out when this is all over. Does what happens in the mountains, stay in the mountains?
Quotes
“I can love you in the mountains and I can love you back home. Watch and see how good I’m going to be at it.”
“Sitting over there like that, he looks like some sort of hot calculator ad.”
“I’m pretty sure I’d give Delilah whatever she wants.”
“I realized how special it is to be loved by someone who chose me. Over and over again.”
My Review
B.K. Borison is a favourite author of mine. I loved her Lovelight Farms series and thought First-Time Caller was so good so I knew I’d love this book too. Getting introduced to Jackson in the first book, I was so excited to see how his love story would unfold. Jackson is a very organized person who loves his plans and lists so I loved that Delilah was the complete opposite. She’s exactly what he needed to help him come out of his shell. Delilah might have seemed so confident to people from the outside but unfortunately she wasn’t. It was nice to see her learn her worth and finally stand up for herself. I loved Jackson and Delilah’s love story and am so excited for the next book in the series. I rate this book 4/5 stars and recommend it to anyone who loves one bed, forced proximity and opposites attract romances.
