Christmas decorating doesn’t have to be expensive. I know it gets hard around the holidays with all the spending but I want to show you how I decorated my little apartment for cheap 🙂 Almost everything is from Dollarama, Canadian Tire, Walmart and Lowes.
First up I just used the leftover declarations for our bedroom and I think it looks so cute! The tinsel is just enough for our headboard and the reindeer look so cute above our closet.
Next is the decorations in the hallway. I actually got both of these from my Grandpa and I think they are so sweet, I’m so happy he gave them to me!
And the last room is the kitchen/living room. Our Santa countdown is from Dollarama!! Seriously you have to take a look at the Dollarama before you go anywhere else because they do have some cute things there! Our kitchen is pretty small but it has a nice spot above the cupboards that I put some garland with lights to make the room more cozy.
The little stocking with the pattern on it I got from a friend in high school and I still have it. It works perfectly for our cats stocking now:) Not sure if she’ll get much though because she’s already spoiled rotten haha
We only recently bought these shelves. I’ve only had the opportunity to decorate them for Halloween and for Christmas so far and I’m not sure yet how I’m going to decorate them after Christmas for all year round yet. Let me know if you have any suggestions!
And the main event.. the Christmas tree!! We got our Christmas tree on sale at Canadian tire. Most of our ornaments are from Lowes and so is our big tree skirt. I actually really like that the skirt is oversized. The only other thing I want to do is spray paint our star silver. Since our star is white it’s hard to see and I think it will look better silver anyway:)
I would love to know how your decorate your house and where your ornaments are from. Do you like new matching trees or homemade ornament trees? Or both!
