Fall Tag

It’s been a while since I’ve done a tag but here it is! Thank you to Ell (https://ellduclos.blog/) for creating this fall tag and tagging me in it! Let’s get on to the questions.

1. What is one candle you MUST light every fall?

My favorite candles are without a doubt the fall candles. And my favorite of the fall candles is hands down Leaves from Bath and Body works. I find this one has such a fresh scent. It smells very much of falls crisp air with a hint of apples. I think a reason I like this scent so much is it reminds me a lot of when I lived on an apple orchard. If you didn’t know that I lived on an apple orchard when I was younger you can find out more details about that and other things you may not know about me in this post.

2. When you think of fall, what does it remind you of?

The first thing I think of when I think of fall is the beautiful colors the trees make once the leaves have changed color. I also, think of the beautiful smells that the fall candles and fall baking have. My absolute favorite smells hands down!

3. What is your all time favorite fall/Halloween movie?

My favorite Halloween movie is hands down Halloweentown! I’ve been watching it every year for easily 10 years. You’d think I would be sick of it by now but no way! It has such a good story and is so cute. Easily a favorite of mine.

4. What Halloween costume do you have in mind?

This year I haven’t decided yet. One that I’m thinking of though is Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy from Spongebob. I think that would be really fun.

My favorite Halloween costume I’ve done though would have to be the one my boyfriend Johnny and I did last year. We dressed up as an old couple. I just thought this was so funny because all our friends call us an old couple and say it’s past our bedtime all the time. We got all our clothes from value village and I did our makeup. I’m thinking of doing a post to show you guys how I did that so let me know if you would like to see that.

5. What is your favorite fall trend?

My current favorite fall trend would have to be cardigans. A girl can never have too many cardigans. I just bought the cutest dark green one from Urban outfitters and I seriously want to wear it all the time. There are actually several more cardigans I have my eye on that I want to purchase as well.

6. When you think of fall, what drink comes to mind?

My favorite fall drink is the same every year; a delicious hot chocolate. I have a few coffee shops that I like to go to here in Edmonton like La Boule and Block 1912 that have great ones! I also like to try out new places every now and then as well. You can’t beat a great homemade hot chocolate. (click here for my homemade recipe)

7. What is your go to fall beauty product? A must have staple!

My favorite fall beauty product would have to be my new Essie nail polish in the color Bordeaux. It’s a dark burgundy color that I love and think goes really good with the fall season. I love how dark it is and it kind of reminds me of blood for some reason haha. The one below has a different name but looks the exact same to me!

8. Do you prefer apple pie or pumpkin pie?

I am an apple pie girl all the way! Like I mentioned before I lived on an apple orchard so I’m team apple haha. Last fall I actually did a blog post on an apple pie recipe. If you want to check that out you can do that here.

9. Do you have any fall traditions? If so tell us all about it!

I actually don’t have too many fall traditions. I love to dress up for Halloween and spend time with my friends and family on Thanksgiving. Other than that I like to decorate for fall to make my home feel cozier for those cold nights.

10. The moment of truth, is fall your favorite season?

If Canada actually had fall the answer would be yes haha. No joke this year it snowed before the first day of fall… a few times actually! I don’t remember the last time that fall actually lasted a decent amount of time and didn’t basically go straight form summer to winter. So my answer would be no because of the length it is in where I live.
