1. Go to the mountains
This one is a given of course! I love going to Banff and Jasper and my boyfriend and I only live about a three and a half hour drive away from them. Fall is also the best time of year for hiking because it’s not to hot for hiking but it’s also not to cold that you can still spend lots of time outside. This is just another excuse to go to the mountains so it has to be on my fall to do list.
2. Fall walks
The air is so crisp and cool in the fall. It makes the best time for an afternoon walk. Plus with a view like this who wouldn’t want to go out for some nice walks?!
3. Drink a lot of hot chocolate
I’m a huge fan of hot chocolate! But not so much the powder mix you can do at home. I like to go out to a cafe and have theirs. There’s a lot of cafe’s in Edmonton so I have my few favorites but I also like to try new ones every so often.
4. Make homemade apple cider
I’ve never made homemade apple cider on my own before so I really want to try it out! I love apple cider so I would love to find out if I can make a good batch. I will share it with you if I do! This is one that’s on my fall to do list every year.
5. Make pie
Last fall I made my first pie and it turned out great! (click here for the recipe) I want to try out some new recipes this year and also try making some homemade pie crust as well.
6. Take lots of pictures
Fall is such a beautiful season so I want to make sure I take lot’s of pictures all over Edmonton while it’s this gorgeous.
7. Buy new clothes
Fall is when it starts to get cold again so I get really excited when I go into the stores or look online and see the cute new styles they have for this year. Some specific things I want this year are some cute new sweaters and cardigans.
8. Carve pumpkins
For the past few years my boyfriend Johnny and I have been carving pumpkins so I want to make sure that we carve some again this year.
9. Have an awesome Halloween costume
The past two years my boyfriend Johnny and I have made some great Halloween costumes so I want to make sure that this year is just as good. I have no idea what I want to do for it yet so let me know if you have any suggestions!
10. Read lots of books
When it gets colder I don’t spend as much time outside as I did in the summer so now that I’m inside more I want to spend more time reading books than watching TV or something. I’m currently reading the Harry Potter series. Let me know if you have any book suggestions for me! My favorite books I’ve read were the Hunger Games series but I also really love to read a great love story. Something like To all the boys I’ve loved before.
11. Decorate for fall
I’m already exited to decorate for fall this year. I’ve already bought some fake fall flowers and leaves to put in a vase to bring some nice color to my place. There’s still some more cute things I want to look around for like some pine cones and stuff.
12. Have candles lit all the time
I’m a huge fan of bath and body and my favorite ones they have are their fall scents. I’ve already purchased a few of their candles but I will definitely be buying more.
13. Go through a corn maze
I didn’t get to go through a corn maze last year so I want to find one to go through this year. They are so cute and fun and usually at an apple orchid so somewhere else cute.
14. Buy new blankets
A lot of people are obsessed with pillows but I’m like that with blankets! I love to get cute new blankets that match the season. I just bought a really cute plaid patterned blanket and I love it!
15. Watch Harry Potter… again
I am a huge fan of Harry Potter and I watch it several times a year but definitely during the fall. I can’t wait to watch it again!
So there it is! My fall to do list! I’d love to know what it is your wanting to get up to this fall so let me know in the comments below.

Sounds like a great to-do list! Personally, my favorite time to hike is Spring, but I can definitely understand the appeal of Fall hikes. Fall tends to be camping and festival season for us, though, since there’s usually less rain!
Loving this. Big fan of drinking lots of hot chocolate, cosy blankets, more reading and going for nice walks. Any excuse to buy new clothes too of course!

Nice list of fun things to do for Fall! I’m definitely walking & hiking more now that the weather is cooler. It’s also a great time for traveling, and I’ve got a few trips planned. Great pics, thanks for sharing your ideas!
Perfect fall to do list! Some great ideas here 🙂
If you need any new book series I’m almost done with The Gender Game series by Bella Forest. It is kind of like divergence or hunger games. And I love the Halloween pics! Thanks for sharing!
