1. Murder Mystery Party
The first on the list of Halloween party themes for adults is a classic murder mystery party. You can dress up as characters and decorate your home according to the time period you’ve chosen for your party. The fun thing about this party theme is there are so many different routes you can go down and you can always come up with something new so you can have this party multiple times.
2. Scary Movie Party
If you’re looking for more of a laid back party theme then go for a scary movie party. You can pick out your favorite horror movies, make popcorn and some fun Halloween snacks. You can also make the party more exciting by dressing up as characters from the movies, decorating your home like the movies and making food from the movies.
3. Zombie Apocalypse Party
One thing I find so fun about a zombie apocalypse party is to serve food and drinks as body parts for the zombie guests to eat. You can get creative with what you can make including brains and fingers in all different kinds of ways. You can also dress up as zombies and have a fun time with the makeup and even play around with fake blood.
4. Haunted House Party
Another classic but super fun idea is to completely transform your home into a haunted house. There are so many things you can do like covering all walls and doors in black garbage bags, spider webs, potions, ghosts, floating candles, and more. You can even go extra far and make themed rooms and things that will jump out and scare people.
5. Super Hero Party
The next fun party idea is to have a super hero party. You can have everyone dress up as their favorite super hero and decorate accordingly. This idea is fun because it’s a different idea but something that can be fun for everyone.
6. Pumpkin Carving Party
A pumpkin carving party can be such a fun time. It’s such a fun activity around Halloween and you can also have a vote for who carved the best pumpkin.
7. Halloweentown Party
The first Halloweentown movie was released in the year 1998 so a lot of young adults watched this movie as young kids and is therefore nostalgic to them. I absolutely love the Halloweentown movies and watch them every Halloween. To pull off this party make sure to decorate your home similar to the way it is in the movies including the giant pumpkin in the town square.
8. Harry Potter Party
Harry Potter is one of my favorite books and movies and the same goes for a lot of people. There are so many things you can do to pull off a Harry Potter party including fun things with the different houses of Hogwarts, the food they eat in the movies like chocolate frogs and pumpkin juice, get wands, and so much more. There are 7 books so there is so much inspiration you can find to help make a fun Harry Potter party.
9. Vampire Party
Next up is a vampire party. This one can be really fun with lots of fake blood. You can even make some different drinks that look like blood. Make sure to play off the blood and fangs theme and you can’t go wrong with this party.
10. Willy Wonka Party
A Willy Wonka themed party is a fun party to bring out your inner child. Watching this movie brings out our inner child so it’s fun to do as a party theme. Make sure to not only just get common candies and treats but also not so known treats that you might see on the movie. Also decorate your home with treats and candies so it looks like you can eat everything like in the movie.
11. Pirates Party
Another fun idea is a pirates party. Make sure to decorate your place like a pirate ship and have everyone dress like pirates. You can also have a treasure at your party as well. Chocolate coins are very inexpensive so you can use those for the majority of your treasure to fill it up.
12. Graveyard Party
The next idea on my list of Halloween party themes for adults is a graveyard party. Fake graves are so easy to come across for Halloween decorations so you can use so many to decorate your home as well as skeletons and so much more.
13. Disney Villains Party
If you want to have a Halloween party but something more on the lighter side and not so scary try a Disney villains party. You can dress up as your favorite Disney villains and decorate your home like the movies. Some examples of Disney villains are Scar, Ursula, Cruelle de Vil, Maleficent, and Jafar.
14. Stranger Things
Another fun theme idea is to throw a Stranger Things party. Make sure you make the wall with the letters and Christmas lights, have egos, and dress up as your favorite characters from the TV show.
15. Hocus Pocus
Another movie I watch every year around Halloween is Hocus Pocus. This movie came out in 1993 so this is another nostalgic movie for a lot of young adults and there are so many ways you can bring the movie into your party.
16. The Adams Family Party
Another fun party theme idea is to have an Adams Family party. This is a great idea because there a quite a few family members you could dress up as and it would be fun to decorate your house like the movie.
17. Witches Party
And my last idea for you is a witch party. Dressing up as a witch for Halloween is such a classic costume and something you can’t go wrong with. Decorate your home with brooms, witch hats, and potions and invite all your friends over dressed as witches.
And those are all my ideas for Halloween party themes for adults. I hope you found something you like and you have a great Halloween party.
