Spring is here and summer is coming! It’s feels like it’s been a really long winter and I couldn’t be more ready for the warmth. There are so many things I’m looking forward to and wanting to do in the coming months. I did one of these posts for the winter and you guys seemed to really like it so I thought I would share my spring and summer to do list with you guys.

- Make a beautiful garden
Our backyard has 2 flower beds. They are full of plants and flowers that come back every year. We still have to trim everything back and make it look good again however, this year I also want to start growing vegetables as well. We are specifically going to try and grow tomatoes, chives, peppers and mint.
- Go to the beach and lake
Here in Alberta we really only have lakes when it comes to water for swimming. However, they aren’t very close to where I live so we don’t get to go to them very often. I want to try and get to a few more this summer. I also want to go to the beach when I go back home to PEI this summer. I’m really excited for this! I didn’t get to go enough when I was home last summer so I really want to make time for the beach this summer.
- Go to the mountains
We live about a 4-hour drive from the mountains so I really want to get there as much as I can. I would really like to go in the spring as it’s not super hot yet but still really nice to go on hikes.
- Organize the house
You can’t help it but somehow cupboards, clothes and drawers just seem to become a mess very easily. I’m looking forward to re-organizing these hopefully soon.
- Get fit
Let’s be honest we’re all at the point where we want to work on our summer bodies. I’ve been trying to workout more, as well as eating healthier. Let me know if you would be interested in any posts about my workouts or what I have been eating.
- Drink mojitos
Mojitos are my all time favorite drink and summer is the best time to have them! They are so sweet and cold and just very refreshing and awesome for the summer. I’m thinking about making a recipe post for the one I make so be on the lookout for that.
- Buy some cute new clothes
Now that the seasons are changing I’m excited to get some new clothes in time for changing my wardrobe around. Here’s a few of the things I’m looking at and the types of clothing and brands I want to add to my wardrobe.

Sounds like a great spring and summer is shaping up for you! Our “adventure” is adopting a greyhound. We are going to submit the application in early May, and then the waiting game will begin! We’re very excited, though.
That’s so exciting! I love greyhounds 🙂

The best part about the summer is the beach or the seaside! Also, getting organised around this time of year makes me VERY happy!
Your photos are so beautiful and encouraging to lool at. Keep up the good work.
You’re so adventurous! I’ll be spending my summer working/in my graduate classes. But it’s okay… because once I’m a school counselor I’ll have summers off to do awesome things like this!😀 —https://emilyryannblogblog.wordpress.com/
