I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on my top knot bun about how cute and little and perfect it is so I’ve decided to show you guys how I do that today.

Dry Shampoo
I usually do this hairstyle when I have second day hair that just won’t look nice down. I start out by putting dry shampoo in my hair to help with any oil in my roots as well as for volume. Dry shampoo is seriously amazing and I use it all the time!
Twist
Next I take my hair at the place I will be putting my bun and start to twirl it around and then I twirl the hair around the base the make the bun. If your having troubles with this part you can first put your hair in a pony tail and then twirl your hair around that.
Flyaways
Sometimes my hair will all be twirled up nicely with no flyaways but most of the time I do have a few that aren’t in the bun. To tame these hairs you can just use some bobby pins the secure the loose hairs back into the bun. I usually put them at the base of the bun.
Another trick I’ve been using recently for stray hairs is by putting a scrunchie around my bun. This adds a cute little accessory to your hair and also helps to keep the hair all in place.
If you don’t like the size of your top knot bun I would suggest getting a sock bun to make it larger. Sock buns are very inexpensive and make the bun much larger.
And that is the entire tutorial for you. This hairstyle is quick, easy, and cute. You can do this any day but is especially great for when your hair just isn’t working for you.
It is a VERY CUTE bun !! ❤️ Thanks for sharing !! Hope you have a lovely weekend !
So glad you like it 🙂
However simple the bun be, it always makes you look cute.
Thank you 🙂
You make it look so simple. Everytime I try it, mine looks more like an elongated twisted snake. It never sits so nicely as a round bun. I’ve been told there is an optimum length of the hair to make it a perfect bun. Is that true?
Longer lengths can help but mine is on the shorter side! You just have to keep trying and use lots of bobby pins to make it work 🙂
liked your content.
Thank you 🙂
I’ve always struggled with a top knot and always a little envious of those super cute ones that my friends rock lol buttt as my hair has gotten longer over the years it’s gotten better! Great tutorial !
