Barely Even Friends Plot
Barely even friends is a modern retelling of Beauty And The Beast. It follows female main character Bellamy Price. She’s just been offered the job of a lifetime; lead contractor of the Killington Estate restoration. Her goal is to meet the owners intense timeline and to make a name for herself in this overwhelmingly male dominated industry. The only thing that can get in her way is the grandson of the owner Oliver.
Grumpy Oliver was in a car accident that killed his parents and left him injured and he’s been hiding away at the estate ever since. Oliver is heir to the Kllington empire but isn’t too pleased about that or, the fact that someone has come to the home he’s always loved and it seems like she’s taking it over.
My Review
Barely Even Friends was a book I received for free on NetGalley and I really liked it. I loved the character development and how I was able to fall in love with Bellamy and Oliver’s characters start to finish. I also appreciate how engaging this book was as I did most of my reading while feeding my newborn through the night. So, thank you Mae Bennett for helping me stay awake at 3:00am with your wonderful romance book.
