Joss Richard is a USA Today, Toronto Star, and Globe & Mail best selling author originally from Toronto, Canada but currently lives in Los Angeles. Before publishing her debut novel It’s Different This Time, Joss Richards worked as a producer for on-air broadcast, digital, social media, shows, and networks.
Plot
Lucy Reid’s about to fake it. As a sex columnist, her views on relationships aren’t exactly optimistic. Instead, she encourages readers to embrace their sexuality and that you don’t need a partner to be happy. But when her team claims that all their readers are in relationships, and that it might be time for something – or someone – new, she’s got to act fast.
Enter Marshall Oakley. Marshall is the new Senior News Writer at Lucy’s company, and he’s just confessed to needing a girlfriend for his ex’s wedding. Faking a relationship is perfect. Marshall can finally prove he’s moved on, and Lucy can write about finding ‘the one’ only to break up and prove to readers – and her bosses – that relationships don’t solve everything.
But spending lots of time together and faking affection has lines blurring… And now the two of them must find the courage to rewrite their story with a happily ever after.
My Review
Ever since reading Joss Richards debut novel It’s Different This Time, I’ve been anxiously awaiting her next book. So of course, I was ecstatic to be able to read an advanced copy of Let’s Kiss And Tell. I’m such a sucker for a fake dating romance so I knew this one would be right up my alley. But the added aspect of a workplace romance that’s also a forbidden romance just made it that much better. I loved how easy it was for Lucy to write about what she did as well as tell people about it without an ounce of shame. It was nice to see the positivity she brought to the topics she wrote about. Marshall was so fun to root for. Even though he didn’t want to be in a relationship after his long term relationship ended, I loved that it was so obvious how much he wanted Lucy from the start. This was another great 5 star read for me from Joss Richard and I’ll continue to read all her new books in the future. If you love fake dating, friends to lovers, and workplace romance then you’ll love this book.
