Christmas Brownies and Peppermint Buttercream Recipe
Ingredients
Brownies Ingredients
- 1 package (4 oz) package of Baker’s unsweetened Chocolate
- 3/4 cup Butter
- 2 cup Sugar
- 3 Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 cup Flour
Pepermint Butter Cream Ingredients
- 3-1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 cup Softened Unsalted Butter
- 1 tbsp Milk
- 1-1/4 to 2 tsp Pepermint Extract
Instructions
Brownies Directions
- First thing you need to do is to melt the butter and chocolate in the microwave for 2 minutes. If it’s not all melted, melt for 30 more seconds at a time and continue to stir. Once the chocolate and butter are meted you in add in your sugar. Then beat in your eggs and vanilla. Finally you can add in your flour and completely combine.Bake at 350F in a 9×13 pan sprayed with cooking spray for 30-35 minutes.
Pepermint Butter Cream Directions
- First thing you do is to beat your softened butter with a paddle attachment in your mixer for at least 5 minutes until white and fluffy. Once your butter is done beating you can slowly add in your powdered sugar. You can add a little more if you like a sweeter buttercream. Once you have added all your powdered sugar you can add in your milk. Lastly you add your peppermint extract. I love the taste of peppermint so I went on the high side of 2 tsp. If you just want a subtle taste I would suggest closer to 1-1/4 tsp. A lot of this recipe is really just to taste so make sure you have added enough of what you like.
