I really wanted to do a cute fall DIY. I had the idea to do something with mason jars and after looking around at ideas I couldn’t pick between three inspirations so I decided to do all 3 of them.

Material

I bought the paint for this DIY at my local Michaels. I wanted to get it there to make sure it was good quality. The rest I bought from the Dollar Store. This includes the mason jars, leaves, glue gun, glue, ribbon, brushes, etc. I really didn’t spend a lot of money on this DIY and I now have lots of leftovers for future crafts.

Vase

This DIY is definitely the easiest. All I did was give the Mason jar two coats of the maroon paint and then decorated. I just added a little bit of string around the top and added in my fake flowers that I got from the Dollar Store.

Storage Jars

This one is very similar to the vase as I added two paint coats and decorated. However, for this one I also taped a leaf to the front so this part wouldn’t be painted and you can see into the glass to know what’s in it. I also, painted the lids for this one compared to the vase. In my jars I just put some tea bags and a mix of spices I use for baked chicken.

Pumpkin Jars

When making the pumpkins I thought that they weren’t going to turn out good. But they are actually my favorite of the three! For these ones as far as painting goes I did two coats on the jars and lids. For the top of the pumpkins I used some little pieces of wood that I found while out on a walk. The leaves I just cut off of some fake flowers I got from the Dollar Store. And the little vines are actually silver wire that I wound around a pen and then painted green. It would have made things a lot easier if they just had green wire haha. All these I just glued to the top with my glue gun.

Don’t forget to place something under the glue gun to catch the dripping glue! I swear every time I use a glue gun I forget to do this and then have to clean the glue up later. Maybe I’ll learn next time haha.

I hope you enjoyed this fall DIY mason jars post! Let me know if you make any of these and how they turn out. I would love to know.
