Can I Work With Brands?

The first thing I want to talk to you about in this how to find brands to work with on Instagram post is can you work with brands. I can’t count the amount of times I seen questions asking can I work with brands? I have this amount of followers, can I work with brands? Let me tell you, the answer is always yes! There will always be a brand that fits you, you just need to find them. Of course, if you have 1000 followers, Sephora won’t be the fit for you but keep looking. There are so many amazing brands in the world that are looking to get their name out there, and that’s where you come in.

How Do I Grow My Instagram?

Another thing to remember is that you need to always continuously grow your account. Just because you’re at a point where you can continuously work with brands doesn’t mean you don’t have to work at your account anymore. Continue to make those connections with your followers, find new followers, and increase your engagement rate so you can do this full time if you want to.

Now lets talk about how to grow your Instagram quickly in all ways. There are so many ways to grow your Instagram so I will quickly touch on them. Now, as far as growing your following and engagement there are so many things you can do. Engage with your followers, people you follow, and people who fall into neither of those categories. Post often, post reels, use relevant low competition hashtags, geo tags, and be consistent on Instagram. Doing all these things and doing them often is how you’ll see your account continuously grow.

Media Kit

I also wanted to touch quickly on media kits because it’s surprising how many people don’t know what they are or how to make one. Basically, a media kit is like a resume for influencers and it’s what brands will be looking for from you so they can see all the information they need.

If you need help with how to make one or what to include you can check out my step by step guide to creating a media kit. If you’re still not completely comfortable with making your own media kit, I sell a template on Etsy that already has it completely laid out for you and tells you what to include in each section so all you have to do is make minor edits to customize it to you.

How To Find Brands On Instagram

So many people have trouble finding brands to work with but this part is actually a lot easier than you may think! Of course make sure to reach out to brands you already know and love but if you’re like me then you did that pretty quickly and wanted to find more to reach out to.

The way I discover brands to reach out to is from other influencers. I follow lots of influencers similar to me and support them the best that I can. While doing this I can also see the brands that they work with. You will see in their description they will use the hashtag ad. The reason I think this is the best way to find brands to work with on Instagram is because you already know they work with influencers on Instagram and you can see the size of incfluencers they work with compare to you.

How To Reach Out To Brands

Now that we know of some brands we want to work with, let’s chat about how to reach out to them. First, I want to mention to stay away from influencer agency’s that claim to help you get brand deals. They definitely can, however, it’s such a waste of time. You’re competing against so many other influencers that are so similar to you and you can definitely get more money if you reach out directly. Your best bet is to find an email on the brands website and reach out to them directly.

As far as the email and what you should include, I usually include some sort of the following. Let them know why you love their company so it shows you’re not just sending a copy paste email off to brands. Let them know how their brand can benefit from your promotion like how many people it will reach, and make sure to mention your media kit is attached with more stats and information. Lastly, thank them for their consideration and hope you hear from them soon with great news!

How To Organize Yourself

Lastly, I want to talk about how I keep myself organized when reaching out to brands. I actually have two separate lists that I use. The first list is just a generic list of brands I want to reach out to. The second list is more organized and in-depth. This is a list of brands I’ve already reached out to so I don’t accidently reach out to them again too soon. This list is split into categories like lifestyle, fashion, travel, etc. I also save all emails with each brand in case I need to use them again. And lastly, I also note the size of the brand. I note it as a smaller brand, a medium size brand, or a larger brand. This is just so I’m aware of the chances of being able to work with them.

And that’s all my advise I have for you on how to find brands to work with on Instagram. I hope this helped give you some insight and you’re excited to reach out to brands now.
