I’ve decided to start a new series on my blog now that The Bachelorette has started back up again. As much as a lot of us hate to admit it I do love this show. I’m all about love stories so this is right up my alley. Watching Arie’s season my favorites from the beginning to the end were Becca and Tia. After Arie broke Becca’s heart I knew she would be the next bachelorette because how could she not be right? Anyway, in this new series I’m going to be giving a recap and highlights as well as sharing my favorites of the season. I would also love to hear the guys you like and don’t like and who you think she is going to end up with Becca in the end.
First up the series premiere
The start of the series premiere of The Bachelorette was depressing but unfortunately necessary. They always have a look back at the journey of the last season but all they showed was the proposal and the breakup. Also, just to recap this breakup and throw a little more shade at Arie. He mentioned to Becca that he wanted the “possibility” to get back with Lauren. It wasn’t just a possibility, apparently he had already talked to her! Good residence Arie! Becca also mentions in the opening that people like her because she got her heart broken on TV. I think it’s more the way she handled her breakup that makes us love her.
Next up come the former bachelorette’s. I think it’s so funny that Becca gets three women who’ve succeeded on this show while the men get Sean Lowe every time because the rest of the Bachelors can’t seem to figure it out haha. Women are so much better at this it’s ridiculous. Not only do they stay with the man they pick but they picked their fiance on the first and gave them the first impression rose. Women are so intuitive and rule this show!
Now lets go through some of my favorites and who I think will make it far. The first one out out of the limo, Colton! I absolutely loved his first impression out of the limo with Becca. He’s so cute and he seems like he has such a big heart. Also, his story is one you remember and who doesn’t love dogs!
The next guy I like is Garrett. I’m not sure how I felt about his intro, it was kind of weird and kind of funny. He seems really sweet and I love that he’s adventurous. Also, I love the mini van and that he wants to be a great dad! That’s so sweet.
Then there’s the three guys I liked that met Becca on after the final rose. The first is Lincoln. I love his accent, and he has such a soothing voice, I love to listen to him. Is his voice tricking me or is he actually a great guy? I can’t tell yet. I also, really liked Blake! He’s the one with the horse and the ox. He seems so sweet and I love that he said he can’t keep her off his mind. The next guy I liked was Ryan. I loved the banjo playing he did for her. Made me swoon for sure!
Another guy I liked was David the chicken! I’m so glad there was at least one costume and the puns were great haha. I don’t think he’ll make it to the end but I think he will make it at least halfway. The last guy that stood out for me was Joe the grocery store guy. He’s passionate about his store which I liked but a little weird that he said he would marry her as soon as he saw her…
Jordan… an absolutely no for me! He is going to be this seasons new Krystal haha. I can’t believe he was talking shit as soon as he walks in haha. Also, there’s a big difference between confident and cocky! Also, what’s with the few guys who kept bringing up Arie? He broke her heart! Do you really want her to think of her ex boyfriend when she thinks about you? Not very smart! The next guy I’m not so fond of is Jake. He barely spoke to her when he got out of the limo and is shocked when he gets sent home. Maybe she shouldn’t of sent him home on night one but if you know you know!
One event of the evening I wasn’t so fond of was the two on one drama. It’s the first night what is happening?! This is not something that needs to be brought up on the first night. Let Becca get her own impression of him then do something about it if you think it’s still needed.
Next up week 1
I love the idea of pampering the guys on their first date. I was a great idea for her so I’m glad she’s giving them a good time as well. Then Rachel and Bryan come back. They are such a cute couple. Then we see what is actually happening on this date and I think this is very much Rachel’s idea haha. That was a hilarious course! Lincoln ended up winning. However, I do think the guys were right in saying that he did cheat. I’m not sure about the timing in the water but he definitely used his hands finding the ring in that cake.
Then there’s the evening part of the date. Lincoln takes Becca away first. I’m not sure how I feel about him. Him saying that she brings out the best in him the second time he sees her makes me think he’s just saying those things, not actually feeling them. I am glad that all the guys are making her feel confident and that she’s making connections with them. And now the picture throwing incident. I can see why Connor felt the need to do it but he shouldn’t have because now more of the blame is on him. At the end of the date Becca gave the rose to Jean Blanc. I think this was a good choice for her after what happened between Connor and Lincoln.
Time for Blake’s date! I’m so excited because this is Becca’s first real date and I loved Blake’s entrances so I’m sure it’ll be great. Becca and Blake get to ruin every memory of Arie with the help of Lil Jon! How funny is that! I bet that felt really good for her and I’m glad she got to do that. I also loved hearing about Blake’s last relationship and how he fell really hard and had that blindside just like Becca did. Of course Blake gets that rose! He deserves it and I’m so excited to see this relationship bloom!
Next up is the large dodge ball group date! I loved the warm up with the kids. It was hilarious! It was also so funny watching Leo all by himself. Now onto the evening portion of the date. Garrett seems like such a sweetheart and I’m glad that they seem to be connecting. Colton had a relationship with Tia! I didn’t know this! This is a little awkward because Becca and Tia are friends but I think it’s something she should be able to get over because he seems like he is there for her.
Finally, onto the evening of the rose ceremony. Conor’s time really did save him. That was clever and he realized that he was also in the wrong and didn’t need to handle the issue that way. Throw away Conor from the last date and get to know the knew one. Okay what is with Jordan walking around in his little underwear!? Super awkward I don’t understand the reason behind that haha. I don’t think David should have called him out but I totally understand why he felt that way after Jordan interrupted him almost naked.
I’m happy with Becca’s decision during the rose ceremony. She kept all my favorites including Colton, Blake, and Garrett. Honestly this early on you don’t know to much about the guys who are going home so I’m not to upset about them.
I’m very excited for next week! Seeing Tia with Colton. I think Becca needs this to help get over it and let herself fall for Colton without worrying.
