Apple Pie

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Package Pie Crust
  • 6 cups Sliced apples
  • 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Flour
  • 3/4 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1/8 Tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice

Instructions
 

  • The first thing I did was set my oven to 425F then place the pie crust in my pie plate and press to the bottom. This crust recipe did not require the pie plate to be greased.
  • In a bowl add all other ingredients together and mix, then place in pie crust.
  • Next I wanted to do something a little different with the top of my pie crust. You can just place it on top and score the center or you can do the basket weave design that I did. All I did was eye the size I wanted then used a ruler and a pizza cutter and sliced them in straight lines. We made the design off the pie then transferred it to the pie... trust me do it on the pie haha the transfer is not fun. The weaving is pretty simple just under and over and then the opposite on the next strand of dough.
  • The leaves my boyfriend and I just hand formed with a little extra dough.
  • Next bake for 15-20 minutes then cover edges with foil and bake for another 20-25 minutes.
  • Lastly let sit for at least 2 hours then enjoy
