Liana Cincotti has recently finished her Bachelor of Science and is working in marketing communications. She loves to eat cookie dough ice cream with her friends and read romance books in her spare time. Liana originally self published her novels Don’t Be In Love and Picking Daisies On Sundays but they have since been picked up by publishers for re-release.
Plot
After a messy breakup, it feels like the entire world hates tennis superstar Luna Aldridge. With her reputation ruined and her career at risk, the only way to repair it is a PR fake-dating Hollywood’s golden boy, Kieran Alexander. There’s just one problem… Luna can’t stand him.
For Kieran, the feeling is mutual. He’s about to lead a big-screen love story, but his dating history is jeopardizing the film’s success. His team believes the world needs to see him wildly in love. And who better than Luna, the person he loathes most?
Soon, Luna and Kieran spend the summer posing for cameras, sharing red carpets and flying around the world for the tennis circuit. But the more they pretend, the more they question if they can keep their hearts, and their careers, together. Especially with everyone watching…
My Review
Liana Cincotti’s first book Picking Daisies on Sundays was one of my favourite books I read last year. When I found out she had a new fake dating romance coming out I was so excited and it was just as good as I hoped it would be. I loved how Luna’s character was portrayed so accurately for what women deal with. Women are so harshly scrutinized for everything they do so this happening to Luna felt so real and all I wanted to do was help her. Learning about Kieran’s relationship with his father really broke me. Not having support from your family is so hard to navigate so I loved that Luna helped him through it while Kieran showed her what a true partner should be. This was another great feel good book by Liana and I can’t wait to read more by her. I rate it 5/5 stars and recommend it to anyone who likes fake dating, enemies to lovers, and forced proximity books.
