For today’s post I’ll be doing a review on NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick and Soft Matte Lip Cream. NYX is definitely my favorite brands for anything involved in lips.

Liquid Suede Cream
The shades I purchased are 03 (burgundy) and 06 (light pink). I actually purchased these a little while ago however, you can still find them in stores so I thought I’d let you know how I liked them. Fist off the packing is great. They come wrapped in plastic and the colors of the tube are very accurate to the actual lip color. Also, the writing on the front is very cute and gives it a little something to draw your eye to them.
The wand is a great, it’s very easy to glide onto the lips and the consistency of the cream lipstick is very easy to control. The pigments are fantastic. They are definitely long lasting.. I still have the marks on my arm from the swatches actually. My favorite of the two would be the burgundy (03). I find dark and nude colors look best on me so if I had to chose one to wear I would prefer the burgundy.
Soft Matte Lip Cream
Last weekend I bought the shade 18. It’s a dark pink almost purple shade. Kind of a mix between the other two colors. Again the packaging is nice and the color of the tube is very true to the shade of the lip cream. The wand on this one isn’t as great but that might have something to do with the fact that it’s smaller. On the other hand, a smaller size is easier to put in your purse, pocket or in a travel bag.
Final Thoughts On NYX Lip Products
NYX is definitely a great brand. Recently they have also been selling in drugstores which makes them easier to purchase and the prices are comparable to the other brands in the drugstores. I love all three of these shades and would definitely purchase more. I want to find more darker shades and maybe some nude colors as I think they are fitting to the time of year. The dark colors I think are great in the cold and snow which is currently the weather outside here in Alberta as I’m typing this.

You did a great job for your first review! Absolutely love the photos and you know a lipstick is long last when you can’t remove the swatch test. The colours are beautiful as well. The only thing I would add is texture because I’m always worried how lipstick feels and whether it’s drying. Now following 🙂 xx

I love NYX, but I haven’t gotten around to trying their liquid suede’s yet. I want to though, as I’ve heard they’re good from different people. I love the light pink shade.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream is my favorite too! If you’re looking for both nude and deeper colors, you need to try Stockholm, Cannes, and Copenhagen, these shades are really pretty 🙂 looking forward for your next review x
