What To Take On Vacation / What I Took To Mexico

You may or may not know but I recently went to Mexico! I already want to go back haha I’m going to show you what I brought to Mexico and give you some ideas of what you should bring 🙂

A lot of what I took to Mexico I wanted to be nice and easy to wear to the pool. The first few shirts are some nice loose shirts for the pool then I also brought some cuter looking ones for dinner and later in the evening. I brought my 5 favorite pairs of shorts. I actually just ordered the dark blue ones online at Forever 21 for about $11.00 before my trip and they fit perfectly! I’ve never order pants online because I’m so scared they won’t fit so I was very shocked. I also brought two rompers! Rompers are so comfy and easy, I seriously wear them all summer haha

At the resort, they had some restaurants that you could make reservations for dinner. I decided to take a few dresses for those as I wanted to look nicer and they do have a dress code. The regular buffet restaurant also said they had a little bit of a dress code but no one actually went by it. They can’t really refuse you food on an all inclusive resort haha

Without the sun in the night and with a little breeze from the sea it did get a little cool in the evening so you definitely need to bring a few things that are warmer for those nights. I just decided to bring a few pairs of jeans and leggings. I wore those with quarter length sleeves, t-shirts and tank tops. Just depending on how cool the evening was 🙂

For shoes I only brought three pairs. I brought my sandals for the beach and pool. My converse (sorry they are so dirty.. they obviously get used a lot) and my wedged sandals for the evening. If your planning on walking around more I would suggest to bring some better shoes for that 🙂

I brought a few different bathing suits because I wore one everyday and I wanted to try out a few different ones 🙂 The bikini on the right I also bought shortly before my trip on Forever 21 too.

Some other things I brought are the kindle I got for Christmas, my makeup bag, curler and I also bought mini bottles to put my shampoo and stuff in. I was worried that they wouldn’t hold enough but I didn’t use all I took so they were actually a great size 🙂

Johnny just bought this suitcase set and they are great! Lots of space and you can section off one half. Also, it was nice to get them back and not see any damage! I’ve gotten other suitcases back broken and all scratched up so it was a pleasant surprise!

Also just for the cuteness factor here’s a picture of my cat in the hall closet while I was taking the pictures haha She’s so curious! I almost didn’t notice her in there.

I’ve found some things on Amazon that I think might be helpful if your planning a trip. Click the photo for more information if your interested.
