My Review
I’ve heard nothing but good things about the Rose Hill series and I’m so glad I finally got to start it. Getting introduced to Ford in the Chestnut Springs series had me so excited to start Wild Love. I was so intrigued to read more about him and learn his story. I liked that fact that he was a billionaire but it didn’t change anything about him. He’s still who he would have been without it. I know this series is all about single fathers so I love how the first book started in such an unconventional way. It’s nice to have a fun different storyline and I think this one was done really well. I loved Rosies character and how her personality reminded me of Willa. This childhood frenemies to lovers romance was done so well and has me so excited to read the rest of the books. I rate this book 4/5 stars and recommend it to anyone who likes he falls first, brother’s best friends, and billionaire romances.
After reading the first book in the Rose Hill series I was so excited to continue on with West’s story. He’s the classic, happy, golden retriever MMC that I love but he was so much more as well. He was an amazing single dad and it was nice seeing how much he loved his kids and missed them when they were away. From Skylar’s introduction it was easy to tell how lost she was but it was even worse than we knew. It just goes to show that not everything you see on the internet and about your favourite celebrities is true. West was the perfect person to be there for Skylar and show her what she can do on her own. That she deserves the be happy and put herself first. I couldn’t get enough of their love story. This was another great book in the Rose Hill series and I rate it 4/5 stars. If you love forced proximity, found family, and friends to lovers romances then you’ll love this book.
I was so excited to read Wild Side after getting the crumbs of Tabby and Rhys from the other two books. I loved Tabby’s personality and there were so many secrets that Rhys had that I needed to dive right into this one after Wild Eyes. Tabby is such a fun character and I loved the shit she gave to characters like Rhys and West. And the way she completely altered her life to take in her nephew and raise him just really showed the type of person that she is. Rhys had so many secrets and was so misunderstood because of them. I loved seeing Tabby learn his secrets one by one and finally learn who Rhys really is as a person. The chemistry between Tabby and Rhys was obvious from the start so seeing them finally go from enemies to lovers was so satisfying. This book was another 4/5 stars and I would recommend it to anyone who likes enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience, and forced proximity.
Many people have said that Wild Card was their favourite book in the Rose Hill series. I didn’t think it would be my favourite though, I was unsure how the ex-boyfriend’s dad trope would play out. But it was done so much better than I could’ve imagined and it was my favourite book of the series as well. Gwen was still very much a mystery character after the previous books in the series so I loved learning about her difficult upbringing and how positive of a person she is despite it. Bash was also very unknown despite appearing in the previous books quite often. All we really knew about him was that he was grumpy and secretive but there is so much more to him. He’s deeply loyal and really cares about his people. I loved seeing his feelings for Gwen start so strong and continue to grow despite that they maybe shouldn’t. I couldn’t get enough of Gwen and Bash’s love story, it was such a great way to end this series. Of course I have to rate this book 5/5 stars and recommend it to anyone who likes grumpy/sunshine, age gap, and forbidden romances.
And that’s the end of my Rose Hill by Elsie Silver book series review. I absolutely loved this series and couldn’t recommend it enough. If I had to list my favourite books from first to last I would pick; Wild Card, Wild Eyes, Wild Love, then Wild Side.
